I went to the New York Botanical Garden to report on the upcoming Kiku chrysanthemum show. The show wasn't up yet, but I was able to speak to the head gardener and see where the magic was happening...or about to happen. This is part of the ozukuri, or "thousand bloom" exhibit. The flowers will be in full bloom and nodding off the stems--so the gardeners decided to give them some support.
