This weekend I drove to New Haven with my friends to see the newly renovated Yale University Art Gallery. It had been renovating the whole time we were in college, and has been receiving a lot of press attention, notably in the NY Times arts section.
While I try to shy away from pictures of art, since it is really someone else's art making the photo what it is and not any really clever device of my own, I couldn't resist putting up a series of the things I saw. Especially since it took so well to photography.
The current exhibit is all about Louis Kahn and his architectural genius, many pieces chosen by the curator as tie-ins to his post-war time period and his vision. This is a photo of the main hall.

What incredible installations! I love the wide-open and airy room, how did you get to take photo's? They are banned in our art gallery. BTW lovely processing.

@Bronnie: Hi Bronnie, thanks for dropping in continually. I've been kind of out of it, because I'm getting ready to move on March 1! There was no flash photography allowed, but without the flash it was ok.
Nice shot Evelyn. I love the perspective , the patterns on the ceiling really make this shot.

@Francis: Thanks, Francis! We should really say that Kahn really pulled viewers' eyes to the artwork. I've never seen architecture do so much for art!
You made a lovely image Evelyn! Good job!
