**Beautiful** composition, Evelyn, and very atmospheric with the color cast you chose. It has a very compelling "antique" cast to it; I wish I could explain this better. I wonder how you would feel about manipulating only the yellow channel in Photoshop, toning it down until the red buds in the foreground really popped.
