A little light and color play after a long (mostly) black and white series.
My lighting experimentation continues. Thoughts?

I wonder what would happen if you just took a shot focusing on the colours behind the screen - and cropped it to show just that? The white post is a wee bit distracting for me, but I love the screen!!

@Bronnie: Hm, interesting idea. The "post" is actually the frame of the mirror that makes up the entire wall on the right. Most of the photo is made up of a mirror image. I guess I didn't really play that up in the photo itself. Thanks for the thoughts! I love the screen, too.
A poetic and evocative image!

@Still: Thanks, Still!
I like the image. My question to you is, "Did you capture the light seen by your minds eye"?

@Craiger: I was having lunch at a Thai restaurant, pusing 3 p.m. No one else was there...I hope to give a sense of that isolation, as well as the beauty of the light that afternoon.
Beautiful!

@j. coleman miller: Thank you, j. coleman!
I agree with Still, it's a very poetic image. These types of images are always my favourites, bringing something to an everyday scene that most people dismiss when they take photos. The lighting is very clever, especially the way it shines through the wooden blinds - a nostalgic image, works perfectly because there are no people capturing the sense of isolation very well.

@Chris Sullivan: Thanks! You should know that I played with the lighting a little bit in PS.
