I then proceeded to go to a movie...

I like the jacket on the left, and the out of focus movie in the center. The jacket seems to transform from an orderly zipper to a wild mane.... with cute hearts! The out of focus movie seems to really make the jacket and the chair on the right seem more real... in contrast to the fuzzy fictional movie ;P

@Still: Thanks. I did work on the tone a bit. I think the light was mostly thanks to the lights they had on in the theater during the commercials.

hey evelyn, i've just now caught up with this series - i love it. the interesting perspectives, processing, and light give it a wonderful sense of mood and, as you say, texture. great stuff

A unique shot, I like how the focus is on the actual cinema and not the film. I also like the feeling of anonimity that the people seated in front of you give, sometimes your staring at the back of these people heads for over 2 hours yet you don't know what they look like. Nice colour treatment too!

@Damon Schreiber: Haha, good point. It was during the advertisement section before the previews (the screen in the shot actually shows a preview for the Sopranos going to A & E), so I guess no one cared. But really, I didn't get any warnings or anything...so maybe the theater was just too big, and they didn't care. If this is what their security is like, no wonder you can get everything illegally online nowadays.

Nice image...pretty unique, I havent seen too many pictures of the inside of the movie theatre. You should look up Hiroshi Sujimoto...he did a series of images that were exposed for the entire length of a movie. Interesting concept.

@Nick Chase: Actually, he's one of my heroes! I saw an exhibit of his at Mori Art Museum in Tokyo last year and loved it.
