Woah, I really feel this one. I would have never thought of it a unfurling fern that way, but now that you've brought it to light, I can imagine it winding in more and more.....

Wow.. bizarre alright! I love the detail though I would prefer tighter cropping to isolate the subject. Too much foreground IMHO.

Wow, I love the ferns. It's a very interessant subject because of all the forms you can find in it. Is there an arboricol fern? Very beautiful picture.

Thanks for your comments, everyone! Yes, I did struggle a little with the cropping, but my thought was that you can still kind of see the second fern curly thing in the back to the left. It's a tough call, though, because the stem is thin, and the second curly thing is a bit too blurry.
I forgot to say that this fern was also seen on my Shi Tou trip, quite close to that pink flower I put up, titled "Such Skirts"
